The unique context of Sanganigwa
The Sanganigwa Children’s Home is a orphanage and gives protection to children starting from 3 years old.
The JGI-Italy has been supporting the Home since 1998 with accommodation, school expenses, library, vegetable garden, renovation, and much more.
It recently turned into a modern centre structured in Family Houses and it has now been converting itself to the use of renewable energies.
The Children’s Home, located in the city centre, offers a simple and comfortable welcoming Guest House for Volunteers.

When in 1960 Jane Goodall entered the forest of Gombe, the world knew very little about chimpanzees, and even less about their unique genetic kinship to humans.
The landscape around Kigoma is diverse and is located on the coast of the beautiful crystal blue Lake Tanganyika
The House has 14 beds: 3 double rooms and 2 rooms with 4 beds. All rooms are equipped with a simple private bathroom and have wireless internet connection.
